Japanese more reliable than BMW and Harley

    http://canadamotoguide.com/2013/03/2...sumer-reports/

Its on the net so it must be true :P

I guess you don't buy a Harley/ BMW to be reliable

(could add another brand there but they didn't mention it)

And here comes the KB warriors defending their favorite brand. Should be fun.

... and in other breaking news, findings of above article surprise literally nobody.

Sounds about right to me! Bit of a concern regarding the percentage of brake repairs!

    Shock horror!

Has this not been relatively well known since the late 60's?

Unfortunately, those who remember the days when Triumph, Norton, BSA (bastard stops anywhere) HD, Duc, Guzzi being highly unreliable machines are all getting into their mid 50's and upwards......

Study probably commissioned by the Japanese dept of export manufacturers or some such similar body.

I get real sceptical of most 'research' studies. There's usually a vested interest in the outcomes.

One example was a study of 12 university students over 3 weeks into the benefits of chocolate. Funded by the American Chocolate Manufacturers Association.

BMW's, I wouldn't associate with unreliability. HD quality is out of sight from their products of 40 years ago.
