    I lost my sidecovers!

Had a nice ride today, out to Tapapakanga Regional Park. Warm sun, took a coffee and something to eat at the beach, all good.
Alas when I got home something didn't look quite right with the Beemer.

My side covers had both fallen off somewhere on the way home between the park and Howick. Bugger! Those Beemer owners will know if 1 goes then the other will too. The rubber thingy had held them on very nicely thankyou for the last 14 months/8000km, but not today!

If anyone comes across my blue R100S sidecovers I'd be mighty impressed!

I'd also be impressed if anyone out there has some gathering dust that they may wish to part with.

    Cheers.

I have no idea of where your side covers have gone, But have an Idea,
Lets expand this thread a little and make it a lost side cover thread.
I am sure that you will get some replacement side covers for your BmW R100S, as there are plenty of them about.
There will be a pair dust gathering in a garage just waiting for you.
I also have lost my side covers off of my 1979 Yamaha XS1100 STD 1.1, would love to find another pair, but do not hold out much luck.
    So everyone that reads this,
What side covers do you have lurking in the depths of your garage, or
What side covers would you like to find to attach back on your bike......
To be old and wise, first you must be young and stupid.

When you do find or replace them you may consider a light weight cable (like a plastic coated steel fishing trace and clip and crimped) attachment so if it becomes detached you won’t lose it.

Think I have a Honda stepthrough C90 cover in my gargre somewhere. Might take a full cleanout to find it though!
I have just found out that they have removed the word gullible from the dictionary
