If you don't like the price, don't buy it. Get over it.

Oh FFS any minute now you will get some three numbered angry little figment foaming at the figurative mouth and looking for someone to rage against!

I must say that I do like some of the old classic bikes from yesteryear.

I had a chromed up RD400 and thought it was a great bike. I wish I'd kept it.

BUT I would never pay the cost of a new bike for something that's 30 years old. No way Jose

If you want a classic looking bike, buy a retro

This is my favourite long running TM classic bike.....http://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/moto...-302675458.htm

He also has ones for other bikes with a partially disassembled Rocket 3 in the background , mainly so he can say "its not for sale"

Hey Ducklover, Want some Vasaline, to make being on the end of the broomstick more 'comfortable'??

Seriously though, even if someone is 'crazy' enough to part with 15k for it? You'd be looking at another 5-10k to fix it up properly..
Now 15k for a pristine ORIGINAL 'straight pipe' H1?? Mmmmmmmmmm, the red one pictured in the thread would be an A(mk2) or B at a guess, or was 'retro fitted' with the swept pipes

There must be some suckers around since so many people go to the problem of posting absurd auctions. I found this:

That same car costs $98,900 US in the USA or about $118,000 Kiwi. They are asking $245,000 for it. According to the list of features the front calipers are painted and the suspension is lowered. I guess that is the reason...

The 911 C2S RDK retails at just over $260k here. So it's only lost $15k on new price...

I think that, as long as an item for sale isn't being misrepresented to deliberately deceive, the vendor is free to ask as much as they want for it. No-one is forcing you (or anyone else) to buy it (at that price or indeed any price) - why be so outraged and consumed by it?
