    Fail prior to long weekend

Found the rego notice for the ST-R this morning and realised it had run out a couple of weeks ago. Doh. Jumped online to do it today so I can at least say to the rozzers "Yeah mate, look it up in the system, I paid for it but useless NZ Post havent sent the thing down yet". But of course I can't do that because the bloody WOF has expired...... so now if I want to ride kind of legally I have to try and get a WOF and rego on Saturday morning. After 11 because I am at the gym before then.

    I will either:

be riding bugger all this weekend; or
taking a journey to the daaaaark side.

    I think option B.

And apparently my Arrows lowboy has showed up.

    Bugger and shit.

Piss all bike shops do WOF's in CHCH now, so you'll have to join a queue at VINZ or similar. My fav motorcycle WOF place on Moorhouse Ave got shut down by CERA - apparently the building was unsafe for public use!!!!

Something new I found out last week when registering a car is if you do it online and go to the post shop for the label they now charge $4 for the label!

Your prob with option B is the roads will be well policed ......... $400 for no rego and no WOF!

If you do get pulled over, be polite.

Got pulled with no WoF or Rego a few years back. As long as I presented updated info to local station within 1 week the ticket's would be cancelled.

Not too sure this still works, with the Govt wanting as much revenue/tax from vehicle users.

They still CAN do ... at the officers Discretion.

An attitude test FAIL ... and you get paperwork. (Stuff they wont cancel)

Only if you get lucky. Otherwise you get breath tested & have every part of your machine inspected (even though if it is a current model 1000).

Not much to do with luck .... unless the particular officer that stops you wants his/her pound of flesh.

What you get stopped for accounts for a lot of what gets checked.

Speed related stops usually get an automatic breath test nowdays ... and if the bike (and rider) looks dodgy ... he/she has a closer look. (usually just to waste a bit more of YOUR time)

I firmly believe that the attitude test at the first instance of the stop ... helps 90% of the time.

And current model 1000 cc bikes can have bald tyres/no WoF/no Rego/non working indicators etc ...

What of the attitude of the young fellow that collided with a police vehicle (double cab i think) around Alex, a few years ago. From memory POLICE HEADS ROLLED from a Alexandra Police station conspiracy, coverup. So what do you base your 'attitude theory' on?

Considering that incident wasn't a traffic stop ... but ensued due to that/those officers poor driving/decision making ... and was in regard to their support to their friend/workmate's claimed version of events. I've seen bikers stand up in court to support friends that were (ALL) lying through their teeth until the truth came out. (are THEIR actions any less criminal ???) I can't see your point in regard to your question in this thread. And considering that those particular officers actions resulted in one being sent to jail. (and resulting severe penalties of to the others) I doubt if anybody could expect that situation to occur on a regular basis.

I never stated our attitude would help ALL the time .... but most of the time. If it means the officer is more inclined to not "Go looking" for additions to the charge sheet. Or even just writing the ticket and sending you on your way .... with maybe an "exceeding the posted speed limit" ticket rather than listing the actual speed you were clocked at. All such is a help.
    sto
An individual choice I know ... but usually the end result of a stop depends a lot on your seen attitude at the time.

My last six "Stops" (Locally) resulted in two tickets ... so I guess all the (local ??) plod are bastards.

    Oh wait ... !!!

Thanks for confirming my post regarding the cunt shop at Alex. I can be rest assured that the attitude test (90% of the time according to you) would help me in geeting trumped up charges excused.TUI.

As the bikers you mentioned, if they even exist outside your head, it is not about them.

You keep dreaming up this 'attitude' shit in many of your posts. It is based on your experience, does not exist in my experience.
