    Hyosung GT650R rebuild

Hey guys , Im new to the site , very good site BTW.

I am wanting to know how much it will cost in New Zealand $$$ to rebuild a 2011 Hyosung GT650R (Carbureted).

I'm really just wanting to know the price of all parts needed.

I have never done a rebuild ever , I'm learning as I go.

If any kiwis know of a place to get parts for this engine please let me know.

    Cheers
    Greg

Do you know exactly what is wrong with it?
A full rebuild will cost you a significant amount

I have no idea what is wrong , how can I tell other then taking it apart?

The guy I got it off sold it cheap for a few different reasons , one reason was he never looked it to what was wrong with it.
at a guess he said it could have dropped a valve.

Im just going to slowly take it a part and look to see whats going on inside.

    http://korider.com/

Nobody knows broken Hyos better than the Hyo Forum itself

    http://www.hyosungparts.asia/

These two sites are brilliant for parts however you can sometimes get a little shafted on the freight, but its still cheaper than buying ex Hyosung NZ.
What makes you think it has dropped a valve?

    Fair plan.
If it has dropped a valve I'd do a leak down test, or simply look down the ports. You'll certainly see it if there's no valve sitting there the spark plug will be annihilated too if a valve has been cruising around lol

I'd start with that, then a leak down test and inspection under the valve covers for bent valves, loose guides and broken springs.

Good luck and keep us updated.
