    No MotoGP coverage on Sky

For those who may want to watch the Moto GP's (first one this weekend)...don't go looking at Sky. As of right now they have no agreement to show the GP's this year.

This is what they have to say on the subject:

We are still under negotiations for the rights of MotoGP events and nothing is confirmed yet. We advise you to keep checking the EPG (electronic programming guide) and Sky Sport website at www.skysport.co.nz for any changes or updates.

If it pisses you off, let them know about it, or not...up to you.

A few people here have contacted sky about this. Hopefully they get the deal done soon.

"Quite a few" have complained to Sky over this already.

May I suggest that those interested in the racing follow the MotoGP 2013 thread? The SKY situation has been discussed there for a few days now.

Yep we've complained may not do any good. Its not good enough, like many others we have Sky Sports specifically for MotoGP after being told a few years ago its was the only we could watch it.

It's a good thing. Sky will only cut it up, give you no qualifying or FP, etc etc. Stick yourself on a torrent site and get the whole kit and kaboodle... you even get a choice of BBC or Eurosport (Spanish commentating is worth a laugh). Typically you need to wait 2 hours after the race, but it's in 1080 with no breaks.

All I've had in the way of reply thus far is some one will get back to me about it, if I feel I can do without the other Motorsport coverage I'll pull the sport channels from my subscription.

Bugger. Cancel sky sport perhaps. Get movies instead!

We just don't watch enough TV to let it be an issue...MotoGP? it's normally on TV1 a week later at a respectable time, that suits me

Angry MotoGP and Sky TV 2013

So what appears to be one of the best seasons of MotoGP is upon us and to my amazement Sky Tv have not even yet secured the rights to show it. Season starts this weekend is anyone out there as pissed as me ???
Only reason I got Sky was to watch the bike racing..
