    MotoGP Videos not working!

So I tried the MotoGP.com option at home last night.... doesn't work; can't see the videos!

Problem with PC possibly?! so tried it at work with same laptop (but with an LAN hard wire connection) and it works fine!

Will try this again at home otherwise:

    1. Download speed on Vodafone Red is too slow (needs to be >2Mbps)
    2. Firewall issue?
    3. Crappy Vodafone modem?
    4. All of the above!

At the moment it looks like I'll be in my office on Sunday night!!!

    Bugger!

    Meh! Fuck Sky!
For 1 months rental(thereabouts) you can get the motogp video pass and see every session in HD all season!
Alternatively for $40USD you can get SatelliteDirect for your computer and access 1000s of satellite channels for life. WSBK is available there I guess MGP should be too.
    I got both.

What a load of shit....get the rights.....They bloody showed it last year so WHY didn't they get the Rights to it again this year when they have had all year too.
Sky Sport need to get their act together on what sport they show on all of their 3 channels.
NOT everyone likes and enjoys watching Rugby, Cricket, Netball, Tennis or Golf.
WHY can't they give us an all Motorsports Channel to keep all of us out there who enjoy all types of Motorsport the rights to be able to watch it.
Sky Sport.............Wake up to yourselves and gives us what we want......Moto GP & World Superbikes.........Otherwise you are going to lose a shit load of viewers & l will be 1 0f them.
    Pissed off.

As has been said a few times now, it might actually be Dorna holding off to get more people using their direct facilities, who knows. I know Sky cancelled live qualifying for one race last year due to the golf so it clearly isn't that high a priority for them. If Sky don't show it I will cancel Sky Sports, fuck rugby. Not yet sure that I will sign up for the video pass though, so it will be lose lose for all involved.

    ATTENTION: MOTOGP FANS
Statement from SKY Sport regarding coverage of MotoGP

We are aware that there is strong interest amongst Moto GP fans as to whether SKY will be showing the first race of the series from Qatar on Monday morning.

Negotiations between SKY and the Moto GP rights holders have stalled and there is a strong possibility that the Moto GP Race scheduled for Monday morning may not be shown on SKY.

We understand that if the race is not on SKY many passionate fans will be disappointed and this is something that we would very much like to avoid.

Our teams will remain on standby over the weekend to be able to add the race to the schedule if a breakthrough occurs right up until the start of the race.

Our offer for the rights remains and should we miss the Qatar race then we will continue to try and secure the rights to show the remaining races.

If significant developments occur then we will notify you via Facebook (www.facebook.com/skysportnz) and our Twitter (@skysportnz) feed.

Well I am another Dorna/Sky sucker I guess. Paid the 99 Euro last night for the video pass, plus still have sky sport cause I like league, rugby, golf etc.

After one night watching I think the video pass is probably worth the money, especially if the free practice sessions are more interesting as they count in some way towards qualifying.
Having access to past seasons is good, but the picture quality does drop off as you go back in time.

Speaking of picture quality, the online HD looks ok, but is no where near as good as the sky feed from last year. Sky sport HD is stunning, I remember being amazed by the picture every race, the clarity and colour is amazing. The super slow motion, mmmmmmm.
Online it is blocky, especially the track surface. Motion is not as smooth. It looks good for online.

So if you like good picture quality, cross your fingers for Sky to get the broadcast rights. If Sky do broadcast the races and it is not a race I watch live, I will be watching the Sky version.

I don't give sky too much of a hard time, nz is tiny, and they are a business, so if dorna won't come to the party what can they do? Show it at a loss?
That being said it'll suck if they don't have it.....

I booked the Qatar only pass for this weekend. Also found it a bit jumpy, but not sure if that's the VGA cable I have to use as no HDMI port on the laptop.
Not cancelling sky just yet, but probably will if they don't secure the rest of the season. The subscription reduction will more than make up the payment to the video pass.
Interestingly, Sky are listed as one of NZ's broadcasters on the motogp website's list.

I have been watching the free practices today and will watch the qualifying as soon as some one seeds a torrent. I haven't watched it on sky for a couple of years, excluding Phillip Island as the timing is suitable. I have no issue watching a slightly delayed version especially if its the Eurosport coverage. Jullian Ryder and Toby Moody are two of the best commentators I have hear thus far.

Poor form on Skys behalf as this may be the first round of the best GP Season since the 500's!!!!!!!!!!! The ducks are lining up for it anyway.
