    Where should I ride tomorrow?

Thinking about either going to The Sandpit or one of the below trail rides.

The Sandpit should be hardening up with some rain. Would like to do the Deer rustler one but have watched some vids and it looks quite steep in places and ive not done steep stuff yet and don't want to hold up others.

    What to do.....

At least in Auckland we have all year riding.

You'll be fine at the Deer Rustler. There is nothing you can't manage if you stick to the main trail and don't deviate off onto an advanced section. It's mostly open paddock so there are plenty of places for other riders to give you a wide berth, if that is what concerns you. It's only on once a year too.

There are a couple of rides on just the other side of the Bombays but with the drizzle we've been having they may not be your cup of tea yet.

Sandpit is always a blast, all year round.

So not steep stuff on the main trial then, I may have watched a advanced loop. Will probably do that then.

The deer rustler is advertised as a family ride but as the Waitemata club is involved beware of the expert options, they aren't kidding about the expert bit! The main loop is about 18kms so not too big even if some of it is a bit difficult, the weather is clearing, should be a good ride!

I rode there last week and it is newbie friendly and the deviations are not to bad. It is a charity ride and needs to cater for all levels.

I will have my Contour on, may get you on camera.........

    Probably as you roost past.

Did one down in Cambridge last year and had 12 year olds roosting me as they went past. Sigh.

Mr Moto Naike trail ride for me, no video footage as I lost my GoPro on the Mr Moto Beach ride
Why would you ride that long and that gnarly stuff if you don't have to, Its what we do, we love it.

Bugger. It fell off? Nobody handed it in?

I had thought about the Naike one but the Deer rustler is a lot closer.

Ha ha ha!! I know your pain Used to be like that for me too ( & still is sometimes, some of those kids are bloody quick & have been riding since they got off the tit)
I would suggest Deer Rustler as a great ride, as others have advised just steer clear of the expert sections & you will be fine.

Well that was a tun of fun. Did the Deer Rustler. Well run.

    I only fell off twice.

    Nice to meet you Boisthebiter.

I think a skills session is now needed.

Well you did better than me.

That first big hill beat me, couldn't get past 3/4 of the way up.
The second one was much easier until the afternoon when it got chewed up.
    Excellent day, excellent tracks.

And good to meet you to, next time we go up to the sandpit I'll give you a yell.
