Am off to the States - what would YOU bring back?

Okay, okay - with our Visa's now approved for us to work in the United States for 6 months, I guess it's safe to say we're off!

Working with 20 other Kiwi's driving for the Texas grain harvest - should be a hoot.

The question is - I'm keen to keep an eye out for a bargain to bring back to NZ, if there is some coin to be made. I'd be keen for a farm quad or a dual purpose bike for my own use, but what do YOU think would appeal to Kiwi's at a good price?

Harley motors? A KTM Dualie? I know the NZ market is fickle at the best of times, but feel free to give your opinion.

    Cheers

A Ducati. Go into any dealer, see how much they're worth and convert that into New Zealand dollars. The result makes them look even more attractive then they are here.

That goes for anything. A ZX10R was about $12k at a dealer when i was there in 2011, but it looks like they're up to about $15 now. Google says thtat's about NZD$18k.

    Can'ts.

we brought back racing quad's mainly due to the fact that I could buy them cheaper
than the dealer could. ( on sold to the dealer )

weaponry is fickle, ar mags from brownells used to be cheap now its a rip off..

yank tanks.. meh factor in shipping..

one that i would look at is a lot of early japanese oem parts that dealers tend to sit on..

    you red my mind.

If I was going to do it, Id try and fill a 20 foot container. probably with harleys would be the best bet for making a profit.

I was down at the container yard a few weeks ago and someone was opening a 20 footer. they'd put up a false floor and had two storeys of harleys the length of the container. must have been 30 plus bikes in there.

Ive daydreamed about splitting a container with some mates and bringing back a box full of tasty stuff. will probably never happen though
