A bit of both even? Have to say, if I had to sell a bike in those circumstances, I'd have the start price much much higher. So it'd never sell...

    Simple. Just sell the wife.
If she's really ugly sell her with the bike, and by the bike back on it's own.
If you can keep your head when all about you are loosing theirs.........it's quite possible you haven't grasped the situation.

    +1

Sure feel sorry for the guy. If it is a marketing strategy I'm not sure its that good. I would feel bad buying the bike of him...

If I ever raise the topic of selling one of my bikes, my Mrs explains all the virtues of that paticular bike, how long ive had it, how much I would end up regretting selling it eventually, & basically makes me keep it.
Bags not swap for his one.

Was talking to my wife about changing bikes today and her response was "You'll have to keep the Speedie and just add another bike to the stable.."

Yes, but with two more additions to the fleet this month, were going to need a bigger house soon.
edit, Oh fuckin dear, I unexpectedly bought another one on Trademe ten minutes after posting this.
I got coffee & toast brought to me while I was bidding on it, & a peck on the cheek & a few words of encouragment once Id got it.
    Shes such a keeper.
