A friend off mine has about 8 triples and wants a hurricane,so about 10 years ago I was judging a bike show and talking to a man who owned two of them and he would part with one for 20k so went hme and told said friend he could have one of the gents bike for 20k he proceeded to spin out ranting and raving there was know way in hell he would pay that sort of money and he would get a basket case and restore that for half that price,I replied good luck with that and now look where the price's have headed to,seems mighty cheap now that 20k.

I just saw this in a UK bike mag. Seemingly people can't get enough of the real thing.

The XS650 has to be the most customised bike ever made...helped along by the fact that they need customising.

There are a few T140's about with Hurricane type body work as well. Usually called 'Hurrivilles' and usually they look a bit more convincing than the triple... Not sure why...

In that case, the SV650 must be a close second, and for the same reasons!

I know of at least 2 genuine ones in NZ. There was one in the car park at the classic races at Pukekohe in 2010. Photos here along with other great bikes there: https://plus.google.com/photos/10569...CMaFzbS7z8_-fw

There was another one at Shed 5 (Deus ex Machina) for a while.
