Thumbs up Bike recovered with not a scratch on it!!

Hi everyone - thanks heaps for all your suggestions and support.

On Wednesday I went and stuffed about 20 fliers with a photo of the bike and my cell number on it into the letterbox of Kennedy Williams. Yesterday I got a phonecall from a random guy who said he had the bike and wanted $1000 for its return. We carranged a time and place to meet - without any police involvement.

So I phoned the cops, told them what happened and arranged a time and place to meet them. Two plain clothed cops came in the car with me to meet the guy.

He was there by himself with the bike on a trailer....excellent result!

He's now in custody, charged with possesion of stolen goods, as well as having $2000 cash on him, police scanner (why didn't he use it???), meth and dope on him and in the car, no warrent, no rego.

My R1 is now safe and warm back in my garage, soon to have a big f*** off chain around it (until it's sold to someone who actually want to pay for it!!)

If your bike gets stolen - be really proactive in getting it back. Do your research, find out names, advertise it. Lesson learnt!

Excellent result, glad to hear it!

Moral of the story seems to be, never underestimate the stupidity of crims Glad to see some hard work paid off And goobjob restraining yourself and not docking him one in the face. Thieves deserve a good belting as often and frequently as possible

Good result and well done to rely on the police who really came through for you.

Possibly a good idea as those invloved with P seem to be pretty mean. Could ask the Police what they would suggest in this.

    Excellent outcome.

I hope you learnt not to let people out with your shit without CASH in hand. No, keys to the fuckers car won't do, because it could be stolen. Drivers licence? Can be faked.

Big lesson learned. Really glad you got your bike back.

OMG! Just how desperate are you to be rid of your bike?

I'd bet money his mates like to wear red and black.
    Tis an old mob game.
Steal the bike, then extort for cash.
