Policing motorcyclists and the clean exit

I had to get home to see an old mate waiting for me today. I get on the Southern motorway at Otara and work my way up to a dog handler police car, no dog onboard. He is doing 110 kph and I come up on his flank, work my way past him because he can't book me doing that speed. My lane has a turtle up ahead. He can see this and speeds up a to cut off my options but I blast past him, get in front and slow down to 105 kph. This pisses him off a bit and he hangs on my arse for 5 kilometers then losses interest. I see some slow cluttered road ahead and take a legal inside lane to get 500 meters on the copper and then blast away on clear road. He sees what is happening and pushes his way through and heads off after me fast. I slow down and work out the only option. Just as he catches me in the outside lane I do the quick indicate and make the off ramp to the BP service station. Victory !! He starts blowing the horn and sirens and can't make the exit. I am all for common sense policing and that idiot got done by some common sense riding, don't let them harass. I did get on and off the motorway again under the cover of a big campervan. I feel the trend is changing from there common sense policing after the u turn and pursuit deaths they caused a few years ago.

I think he was talking about the exhaust noise. It's all the 848 has got.

The 848 does sound good but has never been on a motorway, still waiting for you weasels to let it in the 600 cc class despite being a little disadvantaged and red.

Thick, slow or both? He actually can, and technically, if he's doing 110, you're doing more.

Either way, why the hell jump in front of him when his speed is perfectly reasonable?

Thanks mate but 3 word sentences from Dunedin make me stuter a bit. Floger, the times are a changing, question the police. motorcyles can go faster on motorways than 4 wheel buggies, it may not be in the rules but it is true. Let the rule of nature work.

what a fucking dreamer, how do you know your speedo has the same calibration as his, your's is a mass produced thing that isn't checked at for calibration at warrant time or anything, not worth betting your license nor part of it on really

I was going to tell you, you should go for a ride with the ATNR, but then I thought to myself, self, I bet he already does.
Can't imagine why anyone on such a distinctive machine would want to goad any law enforcement officer.
I'd say you will likely get a nice little letter in the post one of these days.
Thanks aye, for making ordinary peaceable dog handlers who would rather be seen dead than harassing ordinary motorists of any sort, rather more interested in us than they would normally be.

Any tolerance enforced is entirely up to the Officer involved. The speed limit is 100 ... and discretion is allowed to individual Police officers, to issue infringement notices to those that exceed the posted speed limit. $30 and 10 demerits from memory. Over 10 km/hr above the posted speed limit gets a bigger fine and another 10 demerits.

Another interesting opinion on policing motorcyclists, once you get past the gay abandonment.
