He can see this and speeds up a to cut off my options but I blast past him, get in front and slow down to 105 kph. This pisses him off a bit and he hangs on my arse for 5 kilometers then losses interest. I see some slow cluttered road ahead and take a legal inside lane to get 500 meters on the copper and then blast away on clear road. He sees what is happening and pushes his way through and heads off after me fast. I slow down and work out the only option. Just as he catches me in the outside lane I do the quick indicate and make the off ramp to the BP service station. Victory !! He starts blowing the horn and sirens and can't make the exit. I am all for common sense policing and that idiot got done by some common sense riding, don't let them harass. I did get on and off the motorway again under the cover of a big campervan. I feel the trend is changing from there common sense policing after the u turn and pursuit deaths they caused a few years ago.
If he was doing a 110 then so were you, at least, I'll wager. And since 99% of bike speedos over read then you are really full of shit.

    he was probably only doing 103 as I've found when using Mr Garmin, & that's on 3 bikes in this family 02 GS 1150, 96 XT600 & 06 TU250

all run 7km slow, unless me & Off-spring change our front tyre's

Yip. Nothing on the designated tyre size with standard final drive ratios, will have an accurate speedo. I can only assume it is to save any possible legal issues if they read a bit low, and someone crashes.

    Good lad.
Can you do me a favour and write to the police commissioner. He knows me so I won't have much affect on that brainwashed warrior.
Tell him he has almost shagged the sports bike market and the people that live off it. Now we are almost left with Harleys and scooters. Tell him that sports bikes are different to most other vehicles in many ways (stress safety) shit there top gears won't even cruise at the bullshit speed limit and that they are tooled up with some very fancy control devices these days. Stick in a bit about congestion and pollution. So what happened to some good will, a flash of the lights and talk by the side of the road occasionaly. 95 percent of motorcyclists would immediately respond to that strategy rather than pursue and mega ticket at all costs. The phenominia of returning riders on big bikes going mental is almost over. The medical bills have been paid. We have been good boys, time to lighten up, or what.

How many do over 250 off the shop floor?

Apples and oranges if you wanna try and introduce any Harley into a 'which hyperbike' debate.

I have a hand held GPS unit that confirms my FJ has an accurate speedometer up to 160 km/hr. Testing stopped at that speed ... not the confirmed accuracy.

A simple test that all vehicle owners should perform.

What a crock. Here is the answer. Dont use top gear, or buy another bike.

The commissioner will be pleased ....

If what you say about the "Sports bike market shagged" is true ... the enforcement policy is working.
