Bought a KLX650... needs a bit of work but I think it'll be a good start and then go from there

    I know...

But I'll get this one all sorted, have a play on it, save some pennies and if all goes according to plan maybe something a little nicer for summer

    KTM 520
    KTM 660 SMC
    Husqavana 610
    XR600

Any help would be much appreciated.
I have the 525sx (mix of SX and EXC) as my MX, supermoto and daily commuter for some time now. Its been fantastic.

As a daily driver it is a bit too ruthless at low speeds with the light flywheel and brutal power but nevertheless it is good on fuel for the A to B at 4L/100km (limp wristing it) . It is very quick and will kill my mates M3 and Evo 8. It has been very reliable. I change the oil about every 2500K with 1 liter of Shell Rotella diesel oil.

As a motorcrosser, needless to say, it is a ruthless machine that keeps you on top of your fitness. Tiring.

As a supermoto it is good and faster than CRF450. I use the behringer aerotec 6 piston brake and the feel and consistency is second to none.

It has about 600 hours now, no rebuild. Much of that time spent bouncing off the rev limter I must add. Inspected the valves a few times but find they don't ever need adjustment. Even so, adjustment is piss easy with the RFS motor.

The only thing is that this bike is not too comfortable for long rides. The seat gets very hard but i'm sure that's easily fixed if you feel inclined to do so.

edit: just seen you've got yourself a machine. nice! have fun with it.
