I'm pretty sure there will be other bike shops that sell that model. As I recall ... Katman arranged a ride on one for Bosslady ... so they are around.

    Thank-you!
I sent the seller an E.mail pointing out it is NOT LAM's compliant ... and he HAS changed the advertisement.

The 179 Kw is just a bit over the 150 allowed

Yeah the guy seemed nice enough, I txt him last night letting him know and he seemed genuinely shocked and said he'd changed the advert. It's good to know that he has actually done so. That Katana is kind of a hideous machine sadly, not too interested in it really. Are they decent though?

Wot he said. Not a bad looking bike with nice low km's for the money.

Pretty much a full sized copy of the original 80's 1100 Katana. With only a 400 engine of course. I think it's called "Retro" styling. You like it or you don't. They do go alright though ...

You are in a very small minority there.

The 1100 Katana is one of the most widely recognise "beautiful" bikes. Few fall into that category, along side the 916 Ducati, and a couple others.

    You clearly don't deserve one.

No, he's right, they are supremely fucking ugly. Anybody adding them to a list with a 916 is fucked in the head. Their only redeeming feature is the abnormality of their 'look'. It's a bit like Angelina Jolie... big lips give you something to talk about, but she's definitely no beauty.

Wait what, did someone just compare that Katana to a 916 Ducati?! I'm sorry, but that Katana isn't a great looking bike. I can understand that its look has a niche, but that niche is hardly a thing of beauty. It's unique and interesting, and has that retro vibe to it but I'd hardly give it any design awards.

    Cool story bro.

I'm pretty sure it won a few awards back in '81.

    Go 1981!

Quicky, niche, interesting, ground breaking... maybe all those things... but ugly as sin also.

I'm sorry you disagree with me Drew. Meanwhile, back in 1981 when all those groundbreaking design movements were happening ... Look people have different tastes, there's no need to go around badgering me because I don't like the look of some supposedly classically designed motorcycle. I don't see many bikes around that look like the Katana, and there's probably good reason for that, so clearly some people agree with my tastes.
