Would be a good buy at that in my mind.

Nice ride to have in the shed. Pain in the arse doing the stud but not undoable. I used an exhaust flange as a guide for a drill bit. I bolted it in place and used a small bush to centre the bit, drilled the pilot hole almost bang in the middle, tried an easyout and snapped it of. Used the flange and bush thing again and drilled it out, retapped and inserted a helicoil. That was the worst case, usually they just pop out with an easy out after copious amounts of heat

I am green as that would be a great bike to have for the odd dirty trip

Sounds like you been checking out my garage Shrek!
I've got a 96 XT600 for sale too; sounds like a mate will be keen to buy it.
It needs an exhaust system & a battery.
Reg is on hold, and WoF would've run out last year sometime. I'd lent it to a mate in Akl who used it to commute everyday for a year, 'til he went to Oz.

I'm also wondering how much to ask for it...???

just scored a 96 XT600 for 2k reg on hold not be ride'n for a year or two, the Off-spring & I got it going the other night after pulling the carb apart twice, it ran for a while then coughed backfired now wont run sucking to much air in on one of the intake manifolds, works out we need to spend about $500 to get it to WOF standard + it has another set of wheels with nobblys & road legal

any one interested in a XLR250 road legal pm me

Is this your offspring's new bike, or your new bike to do the challenge section?

the XT has started back firing, is this because of to much gas going through?

or because one of the manifold bolts is missing?

dam hard to try & work out when the young'un is always away on it
