    Christchurch mechanic recommendation needed

I just got my old VF750 and as I suspected it needs some fettling... Its a great old bus though... I bought it to work today.

some I will do myself (it came with the Clymer manual and I dig that sort of stuff.)

some its easier to get others to do (I hate dealing with brake fluid for example and want to maybe change out the lines for braided steel)

I have used Trevor Pierce in the past for old Honda work, but wondering if anyone knows of anyone else.

Oh yeah, Im in the market for VF750 bits as well... anything considered.

Duane from Duane's Bikes 'n' Skis. Ex-norjo's mechanic, extremely good, good rates etc. Look him up.

And if you want your bike to run good. Go see Tony at Sportzone Suzuki.
90% of the time spent writing this post was spent thinking of something witty to say. It may have been wasted.

Duane fucked me around in a major way when he was at Norjo's although I have heard good reports since he set up on his own

Trevor Pierce has always provided me with good service

He worked on my old 750, all i wanted done was a head gasket replaced, he took it upon him self to do a whole bunch of stuff i didnt want done, including cleaning out my carbs, when i got the bike back it ran like shit and wouldnt rev, after several weeks of leaving it with him, i got it back and it was still fucked!...so i took it home and pulled the carbs off and had a look, the nim rod had torn 2 of my diaphrams(sp) in the carbs so i bought new ones problem solved..untill i tried to get my money back, in the end i had to threaten him with legal action, and still only got back what i payed for the carby parts, so as you say you have never had any probs and he is still in buisness so i guess he must have some happy customers...i know of 4 other people that would probly knock him out on sight after some of the shit he did to there bikes....but thats just my opinion...
