    Can't say I've ever found fastening and undoing the D rings too onerous...maybe I have too much time on my hands.

    Had the samr thought myself. I guess after a decade it's a non conscious thing? I do always remember to give the chin strap some tug tug tug love though... another job care of muscle memory I guess.

    Erm...my muscle memory has the odd hole in it. There are times when I start out and find the straps flapping loose, having forgotten to do 'em up.

    And save 12 secs with the risk of the helmet coming off in a crash - I'm very doubtful of doing this .. if you can pull off the helmet that easily then it can come off in a crash as well ..

    Remember Simoncelli ...???? And I'll bet he didn't take his race helmet off this way ...
