Thumbs up Back on 2 wheels again!

Well it's been 4.5 years since I got run over on my last bike and told my wife that that's the last bike (for the second time...) and somehow managed to convince my wife to let me get a bike again!

It's been quite a while since I've been on kiwibiker too but it's good to be back!

This started a couple of weeks back when the engine on my honda cage shat itself (the cam pully came off the cam shaft and it's an interference engine... ) and it's been in the garage waiting for me to do an engine transplant which is naturally taking a while. Trying to survive on 1 car when one of you works near new market and the other works in Northcote really doesn't work very well and managed to convince my wife that having a bike will in the long run save us money since my Honda chugs through fuel at about 8-9km/l

Well here is a quick pic I grabbed yesterday just after I picked it up - 2004 SV650. More ranting, raving and general non-sense to follow!

I paid 4k so I think I got a fairly good value. Just need new chains/sprockets & front tyres. I'm thinking pilot road 3 for the front if I can find one.... Cycletreads seem to be out of stock. Had about 65000km on the clock though which is on the high side for these.

The V Twin would sound nice through the Neptune.
I have two of them, one a triple and one on an inline4, great sounding pipe.

What's the point in living if you don't feel alive?

Toying with ones mortality shouldn't be this much fun.
