Go Pro seems to be the industry standard, but is for good reason. Does what it's supposed to and has good sound quality. As for who watches the vids, fuck knows I've got a couple of hundy views on some of mine on you tube and even I got bored of them after the 3rd watch. But at least I can one day show my kids how awesome I wasn't.

i havent used the go pro and apparently they are good, especially the newer ones with wifi, but ive got a drift stealth which has a lower profile than the quite tall gopro. the drift cam also has a small playback screen, but you wouldnt wanna watch to much through it,its quite a small screen but useful at times and is up to 1080hd with real clear footage. pretty good cam for the money, bout 3hundy last time i took notice and comes with different mounting options.

On a similar note - anyone know a good one to use to take still as well as good video? Not needing huge res 2+ megapixel is fine. Needs to have a LCD also so you can see the pic.

Or am I asking two much from a sports cam?

I just would really love a cam that does all.

Go Pro certainly have a good product. My only issue is the size of them in some applications, esp. as a helmet cam. I saw on the news this morning that Mr. (can't remember his first name), Taylor from Weta met the chief from go Pro at the America's Cup venue and they discussed the advantages of adding a GPS function to the cameras.

    Watch this space, I guess.

I wondered if I should use some of my points.... But I might keep saving for something bigger yet

decimal point 2 places in is about the dollar value..... but there values can be way out
