    Yamaha Blaster, rider weight limit?

Keen on a Blaster, for general beach riding (not in the dunes) and maybe an occasional trail ride.

I'm keen on the 2 stroke engine bit, (love 2 strokes) and kickstart, plus they are light enough to throw around, plus cheap enough.

But I'm 130KG, 5'11. Not wanting a race bike, just weekend general cruising on the beach, I'm not a fast rider.

Heaps of big buggers ride these in the states, any big blokes here ride a Blaster?

Would have liked a LTZ400 or EX400 but they go for more on TradeMe plus would be expensive to do motor work on, plus no kick start etc.

So could I have fun on a Blaster? Would probably do the big bore kit etc myself if I bought one. One on TradeMe at Sargent Motorcycles for $2500 at the mo.

    Cheers

+1 on the banshee, man those things can boogie, pretty fast for a plod along the beach but...

blaster should be alright, like Budha say's easier to gain horse power than lose weight

Thanks guys, sounds like I might be just too big for a Blaster..bugger! Have a real soft spot for Blasters.

Will keep looking round, also like the EX Honda 400 and Suzuki 400, both 4 strokes, which worry me as most ads say they have been rebuilt at around 120hrs..WTF??? That's only one year of beach cruising!

Will keep looking, and getting more confused...lol

what about something like this http://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/moto...-611893833.htm could be a cool project finding one with a blown donk and shoe horning a gixxer or simular in there.

i like the look of these http://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/moto...-615411241.htm

will be hard to find another 2stroke kick start bigger that the blaster unless there are a banshee or 2 around still... the Blaster maybe ok, should be enough grunt, maybe just some suspension work if its bottoming out over the ruff stuff.
