    Just to finish this off....

Vicki and I headed out again last sunday with the wellington classic club for a ride to Lake Ferry Hotel for lunch...

All the way down the coast and out to Kaitoke we were sitting on the bike crapping ourselves and holding on for dear life. Pathetic really.... Once we hit the Rimutakas we were starting to relax a bit and actually enjoying ourselves.

On the way back there was the usual gust wind conditions over the hill and you know that the bloody bike hardly shifted a mm. It certainly renewed our confidence a little in the great grey beast and presumably in our selves as well. By the time we arrived home we were getting back into the groove and zinging...

Zinging in the rain, what a glorious feeling!

Oh - and Triumph NZ are taking our glove issue very seriously and have thrown the offending items into a bucket of water to test our claims... They have indeed proved to be less than the advertised 'waterproof' ... We shall see where we go from there..

Oh squared. I also purchased a Oxford disk lock before we went away as this is (apparently) actually a motorcycle a criminal might fancy stealing. It worked twice and then got 'stuck' while sadly locked onto my disk. Alarming and very unsatisfactory. After 20mins of sweaty 'wrigging and jiggling' it finally came off but there was no way I was ever going to use that again on a bike (imagine having one stuck on the bike - aaarrgghh - it would be easier and cheaper if some bastard just stole it).

HOWEVER - the resolute crew at TSS managed to replicate the fault and yes filling it with 'lube' made it much better BUT no way was I going near it again. So - they refunded the purchase price against a more stoutly engineered kryptonite one which is heavier and smoother... I pray it never gets jammed...

Well - where we went was I just gave up... Lifes too short to worry about it. The dealer rang and appologised - several times but I couldnt see this getting resolved in any time soon... But seriously I think I should have known better. Indeed I did know better and questioned the item a couple of times but was assured.. meh.. Fool me once etc etc...

End of the day by the time the corporate wheels mess about its just not worth it so I will suck it up and move on. Anyone with very small hands wants some free gloves call triumph. They are not worth the price however.
