Are Go Pro cameras the best option?

Do u think the Go pro cameras are the best option with price, quality, sound inputs etc? or are there other better alternative cameras out there that could make up for the high quality but cheaper option that the Go pros have?? if there are cheaper cameras with simalar video quality out there, please note them as i am interested in investing in one, thanks.

The gopro two is nice quality, though you might want to think about how long it'll take to go through all the video you will record and how much storage you'll chew up.

The other thing to think about is where you will put the camera, on top of the helmet works ok for MX, but not such a good place in the bush. Some like it on their chest, but I think your head is a pretty impressive stabilizer myself and prefer the video from helmet mounted systems.

I got a Contour HD very cheap off trademe from a guy that got it as a work incentive. He never used it. It great, simple to mount and use. I mainly use it to show my partner who is house bound the places I ride.
