Extreme commuting or just lane splitting with a difference?

    Well that's a new one.

Heading home last night I spotted a beat up old scooter being ridden at speed down the raised median of a multi-lane road

I'm impressed the scooter was able to climb onto the island - it had very small wheels and would have been quite a job to ride it up onto the island as the kerbs are pretty large

For those in Chch - it was the median where Curletts Road comes down from the railway overbridge to Blenheim Rd.
