dude Ive got a complete engine minus head you could make use of to build yours . They have steel base and head gaskets so you could reuse em.
Yours is probably a bit tired, It probably needs a valve grind and general degunging. Mine was running fine but I used the head to build a race motor.

would a zxr engine work/fit in my gpz400r? cause my gear selector shaft holder thingy snapped off. so the whole gear box/engine is now useless.

Mate it's your lucky day, my mechanical expertise is available at the meager fee of $20 an hour.

That's good value when you consider I'll take five times as long as a bike shop and do the job 1/4 as well as it could have been done.

Get your calculator out son, you can't beat them odds.

hey white trash, you serious or joking???, if you know what youre doing ill pay you but if i can get a manual ill do it myself. i did a bottom end top end swap on a zxr 250 a while back.

so frosty it might be wrth a look at your bottom end, how many kms were on it? this bike of mines only got 18kms on it so it should have a mint bottom end maybe i could just mike up you pistons and swap them over depending on how my bore measures up.

you got a number i can ring you on for a chat?

What do you think, Satch? If you're going to pay someone to do it, he should be the last person you'd consider!

ummm......you could buy my gpz engine it [apparently] has race cams but there is a problem with some piece of steel, selector shaft i think, but the engine works..a bit rough just needs a tune...it also has quad carbs if thats any different from a stock gpz400r ninja.
