I suppose on a smaller capacity bike like the R6 or similar ,FI could minimize the problem with reverse flow richness at lower RPM so there might be a boost in torque and throttle response (using the same spec camshafts) ..or it mightn't to

my experience with EFI and carbs can be concluded like this:

EFI - good power, smooth response, almost fixes itself sometimes etc
Carbs - instant grunt, sounds great, easy to fix most times, easy to access

I personally feel that new sportbikes shouldnt have carbs, as carbs are classical and should be kept that way.
I mean look at half of the attempts to re-make classics.
Would you buy the new or old mustang?
    New or Old mini?

Mabey keep carbs for special editions.
But they do make the most lovely barking noise (i can send you a recording of my ZXR if you dont believe me)
Reactor Online. Sensors Online. Weapons Online. All Systems Nominal.

Indeed, depending on the carburator.. when i went from 40 Dellorto's to 41 FCR's it was like night and day..HP and response went up,fuel consumption down...
