Been a while, but am back on road with a "REAL" bike

So finally got another bike....and loving it again......An impulse buy supported by my missus (such a good woman). So we bought the bike off trademe sight unseen on Saturday morning! Talked on the phone to the seller who had people coming over that morning to look at it (Buy now is a wonderful tool). We talked about it for about 10 min then bit the bullet and hit the button. Then it was a phone call again to the seller to inform him of the sale via buy now, just as the other prospective buyers were walking up the driveway!

Plans had to be made, things had to be done so we got it done. 12pm off to the post office to change ownership and buy 3 months rego...We then booked accommodation for the night and at 2.30 were on the road to New Plymouth. We arrived just after dusk and settled in for the night after a good feed of indian....

Sun morning and we went had breakfast then went to pick up the bike....Oh the excitement of being on a real bike was sinking in. I was like a kid on Christmas eve! Hearing the bike start up really sent shivers down my spine....The rumble was fantastic...

So looking forward to opening it up, but apprehensive in the thought of tussling the beast down the road. Such a large girl when the last bike you were on is a 250. Thanked Chris, geared up then headed down the road toward Stratford. Oh the soundtrack was brilliant...met the wife to be at Stratford with a large grin on my face....Off to Wangas, passing cars and such with a throaty tune....Such road presence...Wonderful!

Lunch at Virginia lake in Wanganui then home to Palmy feeling worn out but so elated! I love my (our) new bike!
