Help re Lams List for Restricted Licence CBR600RR

I was told that you can have any bike over 250cc as long as you install throttle restrictor which limits the throttle opening to only about 10% which effectively puts the effective horsepower to be 10% of original manufacture specification.

Yeah, totally fucking unenforcable. Like the cops at the roadside would have to pull you bike apart to see if it was restricted or not.

You really want THAT to happen?

My husband wants to start riding a bike and is on his way to get his restricted licence. He is not sure whether a Honda CBR 600RR is OK to buy while on a restricted licence.

Thanks for clearing that up about the RR. He'll just have to get that one next - shame - he saw one is SUCH a divine colour! To start now thought we've decided that a Monster 659 will be OK, as we've seen one in red. Anyhoo, as I said he wants to start riding, and as he's ridden a bicycle before when he used to have a paper round, we reckon he can pick up the motorbike thing on the way to the test. Basically first gear is down right, and then its up? Clutch on the right foot? Any tips appreciated!!! Thankssss!!!!!!
