Where's the fun in that? Hmmmm a Predator (stupid name) front end could be the biz ............

There is a guy down South who has probably spent so much on a TL that he could have a Ducati Panigale. Bet he'd rather have the TL though.

Apparently its not that hard. Predator front and back ends are almost bolt on.

You would need more than gold valves to chase down this busa...

It seems like a lot of work, to just end up with a slow predator.

Well yes. It would be easy to get trapped into spending to much money on a cheap bike. According to MCN the Hornet has a quicker 1/4 mile time than a Predator. I guess thats due to the Hornet being lighter.

But thats why I wont put a $1500 rear shock in.

I imagine it could be greatly improved for as little as $500. Which would transform the bike.

They have cartridge forks already, so revalving those would have a similar effect.

Well I have ideas of moving the rear shock mount back on the swing arm to lower forces on the rear shock. And run a longer shock like one from the R1. And cutting up a swing arm from another bike (like an R1) to get the bracing off it and weld it to a Hornet swing arm. All this along with bracing the front of the frame may help the handling a lot.

Or it all could be the dumbest idea ever. Which makes it more appealing.
