Are you running a Powercommander or a TRE/xTRE in your busa? The TRE increases my consumption, im currently running a bit rich atm. Might be a seasonal change. I will tweak the PCV map for it, seems to be at full throttle at Mid Range RPM. Slightest of lags.

Nah, I'm pretty sure it's stock apart from a 4 into 1 with an unbranded pipe.

Im looking at making up a ECU cable to hack the factory computer and raise my rev limit and permanently disable all limiters.

Installed my quick turn drag throttle the other day. Hands down one of the best mods I have done so far.

Can't say I've ever had much trouble with running into limiters myself. How quick is the turn?

Yeah 5.5L/100km isn't really that bad, my 250 will do about 3.5-4L/100km and given the performance difference that seems pretty damn reasonable.

Is that the VTZ250 in your profile? That's pretty good if it is, my '89 VT250 Spada used about 5.

PCV with brocks map that I ordered and has entered NZ now and I got the customs bill

The new throttle has about 20% less travel than the old one. You can just snap it down rather than winding up on the grip.

Yamaha really needs an answer to the busa and zx14 besides the V-MAX. Still see quite a few blackbirds around, was more than a few at the bikers in blue ride last weekend. Only one zx14 and 3 busas.

If it's any help my Gen 2 'Busa has a 21L tank and best I've done is 340 + kms with the light glowing orange for 80k's before I pulled in for gas, took just over 19 L to fill up ..

PCV added and afm adjusted to 13 to 1 and mines showing 460km range gen2 zx14. 23km per litre while riding 100odd. 22litre tank

23??? is that a sorta flash reading or can you hold it on that?I can get flash reading like that quite often in the car,but the average is ussually a lot less 23 i s 66 miles per gallon in the old money..its what i have to come back to to compare different vehicles to make any sense of it!

Thats terrible. I get better than that from about 14.5l of fuel (When the fuel light comes on) from my 07 blade when doing short commutes, and this is with a completely clogged air filter (Only found out last week, joy).

On longer rides it gets 250-300 from the same amount of fuel.

If I have it on the economy reading it does an average over each past 60seconds and displays it.
Eg cruising along motorway 120 for a few minutes reads 23km per litre. flat and smooth holding speed.
On range setting it calculates fuel use over a 4min period to calculate km left inside tank etc.
Running 1/4 mile was doing about 6km per litre.
Average has been 15.6km per litre over the last 1000km with town usage and the hill etc.
