You ringing NZPost? btw, while your package is doing a tour, see if it can find mine. Left New York beginning of August... been touring since

NZ Post will give you the customs phone number. That's how I got the contact number last time.

Thats the LRG White Busa. The GSXR Tail conversion suits the bike IMO. Yeah I should call customs with the number. No rush for the parts though, still have to fabricate almost everything

Question from a complete noob on this topic: What sort of fuel consumption does a busa or 14 get and how does it compare to that of a litre bike or even a 600?

At 100 zx14r is getting 20km per litre.
The average use last 1000km on mine is showing at 15.4k per litre.

Full tank shows fuel range of almost 400km when doing 100 in 6th constant speed.

    My Hayabusa gets about 5.5L/100km (18.2km/L) when it's left in top, doesn't make a lot of difference if you're cruising at 110 or 140. About 6.5 - 7.0 L/100km (15.4 - 14.3 km/L) on back roads using more gears.

Do you have an instantaneous fuel use read out? What's she drinking at a steady 120/40/60?

Dunno about a Busa but I can tell you that the 1125 on full tap reads 25L/100k.
Go soothingly on the grease mud, as there lurks the skid demon

100 is 19-22 depending on load etc and hill. Trailer is 19-20
In the flying quarters I spotted 4km per litre at one point

Not sure about speeds 120 etc as I ride with range selected most of the time and I do 100clicks
On fuel usage it shows you as ride, the current usage.
On range it shows you distance left in tank by a 1min calculation of fuel being used against remaining fuel in tank. This seems to change about every min approx. If you coast down a steep hill in 6th with clutch in on a full tank you can get 999km per tank.

My last 1000km average was 15.4 includes town, towing, the hill and open road.

You do not buy a hyperbike for fuel consumption.

17.5km p/l but im fucken fanging in alot of the time. 6th Gear pulls also use alot of fuel, you can almost watch the needle go down

Maybe not, but it's hardly going to put anyone off if it does matter to them. 17.5km/L isn't much worse than a carby 250, mine used that much on occasion.

Yeah 5.5L/100km isn't really that bad, my 250 will do about 3.5-4L/100km and given the performance difference that seems pretty damn reasonable. That would make them similar to if not better than many of the litre bikes I believe?

Are you running a Powercommander or a TRE/xTRE in your busa? The TRE increases my consumption, im currently running a bit rich atm. Might be a seasonal change. I will tweak the PCV map for it, seems to be at full throttle at Mid Range RPM. Slightest of lags.

Im looking at making up a ECU cable to hack the factory computer and raise my rev limit and permanently disable all limiters.

Installed my quick turn drag throttle the other day. Hands down one of the best mods I have done so far.
