Same here...did not see one in the line-up for last year's ride...
Freezing in the states at the moment...
Looking forward to getting back to warmer weather...![]()

G'day,
My google foo is low at the moment can't seem to track down a map of last / previous years events - used to be on the old DB1k site - now gone? Anyone got a www address I can look at?
Thanks
Crim
Sounds like a few of us will need to consider options, I'm training the hell out of my knee to get it ready...but will be carrying some good drugs in case things flare up...so if there is some way to share what you have...I'd appreciate it.
Also...because my mate is useless at pre-planning, and has a bike that sucks fuel like no tomorrow...I'm trying to get a heads up on what he needs to carry vs detouring to mulitple fuel locations. Assuming 290k distance,...Max range for him is currently 180K (using 12litres), so expecting he'll need another 6 litres...

...back in the saddle, and getting a little!
It's a shame Epic Events haven't yet issued just a little more info such as expected fuel distances to help people do at least basic bike prep planning.
I'll stress again I do not know what changes may or may not happen this round but assuming it's similar to last year here is a temporary link to the 2013 fuel stop chart hiding in my dropbox .... here https://www.dropbox.com/s/fx1zleiwry...fuel-stops.pdf
Done from my slightly smart phone so hopefully the link works. File is in.pdf format.

doesnt seem to be as much hype and excitment this year - wonder if the 150 spots have been fulled yet
I reckon not. I was looking for more info yesterday (same as above) and registrations are still open.
Also their voicemail says they are out of cellphone coverage til 6th Feb (lucky them). There was an emergency number, but me wanting the GPS routes doesn't count as an emergency![]()
Any interest in the Friday ride to Fairlie as per last year ? I understand that Matt won't be organising it this year so if we want to do one it will fall to us to organise it...
Happy to put my hand up if there's enough interest.

the link worked for me too.
Based on that table the longest part without fuel is 274km, right? any possibility of that being longer or I'm misreading it. I can get around 210+ k's out of 9 litres and then with my planned 4l auxiliary fuel could get to 300+
Edit: another question is my first time down there what's recommended place in Fairlie (haven't booked yet)
