Garage time: What are U doing now?

Well I am in the middle of a project... rebuilding an RG but that's in another thread.... that thread needs donations to accelerate.

This here thread is just garage time...

Don't know about you but being of modest means and having to work, I seem not to have unlimited cash and unlimited time to just go BANG look at this... cool aha.. keep telling the wife to get a better job... hell she got to laz around for what seemed like ages after our kids were born.... Hell its my turn to do FA.

Give me half the budget she needed for buying all those use less gadgets and shit for the kids when a good nipple and a saucepan lid is just fine. anyway...
Back to WHY this post....? anyway...! .this is just about the shit I do in my garage.!

And no children or animals where hurt in this episode... ......

    Welcome to Garage Time..!

WTF... the only clean thing in this picture... that's for the clean freaks... if your nails are trimmed and clean... your a clean freak...!
    Mine chewed and dirty...

Those there are carbs off my katana ... they have been in a ultrasonic cleaner... used to be pained black... clean now muma... and I did not have to touch it....

Re-jetted the kat to night... 175 - 155 mains... and had to tap the air jet and add another jet to limit the airflow in to the CV carbs.
the aim is ti make CV carbs idle and perform with PODS....

That hunting shit when the carbs will not settle to a nice idle... fuckers rise and lower. Right pain in the ass.
emulsion tube.... are corroding and it running rich down low... need a magnifying glass to see.... very common on old shit I like.

Any way drilled out the air tube... fitted 155 main and very cool... after putting up with this thing being hard to start... after paying heaps for dyno time.... NEVER AGAIN!!!!

I hate it when the bitch leave her finger print on the camera lens... make the picture blurred ... nothing to do with beer....what, fuck me the camera smells like fish!

Forgot to add... this is the engine that is my 1135EFE Kat.

Been a long project... started life as a 750 puss box... slowly starting to be cool.....still got a long way to go before it can hang with the big kids...
GSX1150 - 1984 engine has been added... about 3mm of space under the tank.... dam tight... just how if should be!

Quite a story putting this motor in.. had to build a engine stand just the right height to slide it in sideways.
The 11350 motor is a beast... these engines are still used by top dragster in the USA today... doing like 6second 1/4 miles... and tha there lump is 30 years old.
WHY ... you ask... like music young fallers... the bikes were revolutionary as was the music of the time...

best bit is straight after racing you can go straight to a BD party....

video of NOT mine... obviously if that was mine ALL of the things above would be a lie....

Yeah, after a month playing with jets and air/fuel mixtures I decided to pull the emulsion tubes and give them a really close inspection. It's amazing the small amounts of wear that can cause issues, they were only very slightly worn around the orifice.
The ones I've ordered are the nickel plated ones from factory pro, apparently they don't wear nearly as fast as the OEM brass ones.

Saturday will be mounting my new risers an drag bars on the Adventurer.

One day I'll find a period correct 60's MOT fairing for the Saint.

Won't say how much I'd pay for one but the day an offer is made I probably won't be haggling much.

Have another old Triumph in bits out the back.
Frame cleaned up an painted, new engine mounting plates, foot controls and seat cover then I ran out of money again.
Still need to rebuild the engine, buy all new hand controls,a front end, instruments, exhaust system, wheels, front an rear guards, wiring loom, cables,,,,,,,,,fuck me

Im trying to set mine up. Just moved in and I have bike one side, work car in the middle but the other side full of boxes and house renovation stuff.
I cant even reach the stereo to turn it on. I haven't had a chance to put the aerial cable to the tele. I have wired one recessed fluro pack and cant reach the spots to install the other 3 due to boxes. I want to line the ceiling and have framed out the man hole but the plywood money got spent on fence timber. I bought lots of weights and a bench buts its behind the painting gear.

Other than that my garage is mint.
I have evolved as a KB member. Now nothing I say should be taken seriously.

Mine has three bikes, girlfriends car, a workbench, a boxing bag and some speakers. It's not bad, needs better lights though.
