Not so easy - if ABS is anything like SRS (airbag) - the light comes on then goes out after the ECU has done the self test. If the tester knows the vehicle has ABS (SRS, whatever) and the light doesn't initially come on, then they know something is wrong.
it's not a bad thing till you throw a KLR into the mix.

I spent the day on Escorts as usual. prepping the mk2 RS2000 for Cantebury this weekend. I don't get much time in my own garage at the moment

Might have to fonosh the brakes on the mk1 Escort Lotus next week before I shoot up to the far north rally

Correct. Won't get a WoF unless the light comes on and times out, should take less than 6 seconds on most cars.

I had a mate come in a couple of months ago, because the traction control light wouldn't go out on his XR6, I asked him if he had tried using the switch to turn the traction control off. Wheres that switch he says. well obviously it is the one you used to turn it on says I. Some people should not be allowed near vehicles.

I'm starting to see a trend... (remember not to use to many foool stops...................................)
    Dam forgot....!

Anyway seems that there are several different groups of people on this forum.

    1) People that do stuff
    2) People that pretend to do stuff
    3) People that prefer how to tell people to do stuff
    4) People that like to correct people when they are trying to do stuff
    5) people that are just plain wankers.

My thinking as limited as it can be says that most people are a mixture of the above.

Anyway enough shit, I took the misses for a quick spin.

After that removed the Kat front wheel for a new tyre. Need a WOF for the cold Kiwi.
Oh and most importantly bottled a Pale Ale that I had brewed.

Glad to hear you didn't bottle the Katana and fail a WOF for the ale. That would have sucked.

Been a busy couple of days in the shed.

fact is I'm trying to get my Kat going for the cold kiwi. Down to a couple of weekends until the weekend.
Reason is the KAt is the only bike I have with heated grips and a pack rack. Don't want to fit one to my other bikes.
The kat was leaking fluids, farting and expelling air and the lips are expanding and trying to strangle you.. ok (stop thinking about your wife).... attention.. ok the engine was hard to start like a 45yr old married women, having to put up with small balls!

So the Kat has been given some loving.

    carbs ultrasonically cleaned.
    carbs re jetted
    Plugs
    Filter
    oil
TOMORROW its getting a new exhausts and it ant cheap...........................(I love full stops)

This is the picture of the Kat getting a new front tyre.

The following was done because the front wheel was coming off.

Add Font mud guard support, stop front mud guard wobbling.
    New front tyre
    New front disc bolts
    New front

    And tomorrow... new exhaust system.
This is what I want... bla bla bla. Yes I think that would be X.
OK, I will drop it off Sat morning.
    OK

My choices came done to two... muffler decided, its the headers etc... what colour.
Anyway I made a choice.. lets wait and see.

Looks much better with a clean exhaust.
Hell I have friends that cook eggs for a clean exhaust!
