    Baths are overrated!

Everytime we start to get a bit of money together to get on with our stalled bathroom renovations, whadduya know, we seem to end up buying another motorbike!! It all started less than a year ago when hubby put to me the idea of getting a quad bike, and I asked him what it would cost to get a couple of old farm bikes instead. Nek minnut....he has upgraded to a 1994 tt-r250, I am the chuffed owner of a kawasaki super sherpa, and today's addition to the stable is a little yamaha tt-r90 for our young fella who is having a birthday on the weekend. Hubby is just about as excited as the young fella is going to be on his birthday, out there pretending to do wheelies in the dark. No doubt our teenager is going to have his share of the fun.
I should add, in case anyone is concerned that we have all been three years without a bath, that we do have a shower!

Think of the powerbills you will save on. Good plan, sounds sensible to me.

Having done a few years with a shower only, a recent renovation has seen one installed in the main bathroom. Dont use it much, but after a long winter ride or being away touring, having a good soak in a hot bath is kinda nice.

    I haven't had a bath since I was about 7 years old.
Hang on, that's not quite true, when I split from my first wife, I ran a bath and added lavender oil, only did it the once

After renovating the inside of the house, the main bathroom was the last place to do - I forewent the exercise of ripping out the old one since it was in good condition and reasoning "how often will we use the darn thing". Turns out it has been used a grand total of two times in the eight months since renovations were finished! And that was only after a shower was had so you don't end up soaking in a filthy soup of scum of fleshy bits!

Showers are much, much more efficient!

What do you degrease your bikes in? I mean you can clean carbs in the hand basin but sometimes you need a bath to clean the rest of the bike.

I secretly love my bath. Nothing like unwinding in a tub with a book, a beer and a magazine. I'm gonna have one tonight.

Nothing beats soaking in a hot bath. Here is the best of both worlds
