    Dear Yamaha New Zillun

I should like to purchase a Yamaha Bolt.

    http://www.starmotorcycles.com/star/...82/0/home.aspx

You need to sell it at aruond the $15k mark for it to be competitive, and it needs to have some accessories available.

    In matt black I think.

I already own the spiritual successor to the RZ350: Triumph Street Triple R. source: I rode an RZ350 in the 80's, and the ST-R is very similar but better in every respect except for the smell.

Dude, don't get me wrong: I loved that RZ, but the ST-R is a functionally better motorcycle in EVERY respect:

RZ350 weight claimed with full fuel tank and oil tank 168 kg.

ST-R: say 182. Win to the RZ

Sound: RZ has the two stroke scream

ST-R has an arrows 3 into 1 on it and it sounds bad-ass : its different: both are good. equal

power delivery: the RZ has YPVS so does not have the massive hit and 3000 rpm wide powerband of earlier 2T's but the ST-R has a step in the power (or at least the noise - I havent had mine on a dyno) which is sort of similar, but it has way more low and midrange grunt.

Here is the kicker: Power: and power to weight: Power for the RZ is stock around 60 (yes really) a handgrenade motor might get you 80. say it was 70: that is every kg has .41 hp pushing it along. The ST-R has .57 hp pushing every kg along.

The ST-R has modern brakes, bigger forks, and better tyres which have bigger contact patches.

Its a little taller but the bar/seat/peg relationship is similar (I would say the ST-R is a bit better for me but YMMV).

The ST-R is a better bike.

I would still like an RZ again though.

Remember the bit I said about about modern version?

30 years development should quite nicely address most of those issues. The RZ was quite heavy compared to say the TZR, itself 25yrs old.

A ride on or behind (on my Triumph Triple, ok not like an STR) my mates VJ23 RGV (17 yrs old) & like, No foul-stroke sounds anything as good. It is sex.

I had high hopes for those direct injection two strokes that were around (they might have been proof of concept only) but the potential. Oh the potential. Modern chassis: say 160kg kerb weight ready to ride and say 100rwhp.

sign me up for that too.

The Triumph is a filthy fucking diesel, go wash your mouth out with battery acid for even mentioning it in the same breath as the RZ
