Ups to the cop for giving you two weeks. Lots would not have as it is obviously positioned in a poor place. Looks dorky there to so one could presume the only point is to intentionally hide it .........
However ........ you can purchase a brand spanking new Harley or Ducati with a plate mounted off the left rear axle that can not be seen in any way whatsoever from the other side of the bike ............
how do you expect a speed camera to see your plate if you hide it
Wow, this deserved a thread?
Take bike to shop, have plate fixed, take it round to cop shop and show em, job done.
Why would you place a rego plate like that in the first place?

If you can make it on Kiwibiker you can make it anywhere.
yeah its def not allowed.when i purchased my new bike start of this year,06 zx6r,had the plate tuck right in,2 up it was completely invisible so got an ali hanger lasered and folded and moved it.no point getting a ticket for something silly like that
Trailer sideways. I think a lot are on boat trailers etc on the mudguards. I haven't had any issues but I guess its easy to read and you can see the bike one over the top also. Maybe ill get asked one day. Had to cut it down also as the trailer plates are way to big.

Cutting down the plate is not permitted. That said, technically, I believe putting holes in it isn't allowed (but that part is ignored).
The law states upright, and that is open to interpretation (and there has been a good thread on here about it, plus the defence etc). The plate can be upright, or the text can be upright.

Im not to worried about the plate cut. It was massive before and now it bike plate size. I couldn't get a bike plate issued for it and had to take the big plate. Pulled over twice so far and nothing said. Funny thing is that neither time was the warrent and rego on the trailer checked just the bike.

Plates ruin aerodynamics. Enough said...
