    The authority version bikes run a dual battery system.

    Last issue I read like this (and the NZ cop bike isn't the first), the blame has been fingered on the seat support rail. When incorrectly installed the bar that runs across the front of the seat can short the battery terminals. Wunderlich sells an accessory (don't they all) that supposedly helps guide the seat into position. Not sure if the RT seat layout is the same as the GS (other fires have been on GS's).
