    I think so and I guess you would be qualified to say

    I sold My XR's both at around 12,000ks or miles (cant remember which) but would imagine they would have been good to about 60.000 easy and then a little tickle up and away they'd go again, My dominator needed a new piston only at 70k

    Mine was on 21000k when I took the speedo off 15years ago! Done laidback rides, trailrides,VMX,circuit racing, etc untill semi-retirement 4years back. As far as I can remember its only needed swingarm bushes as a result of wear.
    Thinkin I'll get her roadlegal again. Comfy, grunty,economical,good lookin, what more could ya ask for?

    grunty? oh well we are talking piglets here,at least until you reach the 650r then you MIGHT be onto something worthy of the meaning.....mx'ers are 'grunty' hell even the little 80's would give one a fright.Orig thread title translated= harleydavidsons of the trailbike variety aka cruisers

    I was doing some work on the little beast at my flat. Bought her brand spanking new in '79 before any had arrived in NZ

    247-bong or no bong I know whats what. 248-TT&XR5,XR&XT6 are my trotters which are porky pigs while the RM&YZ 250'S deliver the frightning lightning everytime as did the old kx500.......fr50 is um-lets forget about that one for now-u might get all interested!
