Can anyone tell me if twinshock XR250/500's had High and low beam headlights?
Did they even have a headlight on/off switch?
Cheers.
no idea what it was but it had a light switch of some sort
http://www.partzilla.com/parts/searc...LES/parts.html
the same part was used on these models
1981 ATC250R A CONTROL LEVERS + CABLES + SWITCHES 81
1979 XR185 A HANDLE LEVER + SWITCHES + CABLES
1979 XR500 A CONTROL LEVERS + SWITCHES + CABLES
1980 XR200 A CONTROL LEVERS + SWITCHES + CABLES
1980 XR500 A CONTROL LEVERS + SWITCHES + CABLES
Any bugger on this thread have a XR250 or 200 RFVC primary gear I can borrow to compare the tooth pattern

Nice one, man there aint much to the old Xr's compared to now days, no wonder they went like cut cats, pretty much even with a DR750 with a pipe when I drag raced my mates which was stock, and the thing felt like a 750 with all the torque and no weight
Who in NZ would be best at repairing a cracked head and also valve guides?
You might be better off buying one off Ebay likely $250-300NZD landed

There actually was one with new valves and guides last month for 200NZD landed for a 82 model
