Motard re-certification before selling?

Hey team. I'm wanting to sell my 660SMC. The registration was cancelled months ago (it's in pristine condition) so do you reckon I'm better off getting it re-certified before I list it up on TM/KB or try my luck selling as is?

Why rego cancelled? wouldn't it have been better off on hold?

Im no motard expert but idd say fill yourself out a brake declaration, get a police check paper and get new plate, warrant and r.ego then tardme it.
I think you need to buy 6months rego with new plate or 1year now so it will cost you about $450ish

I had the head gasket blow on it coming down the Rimutakas. Previous owner stuck a high comp piston it but didn't account for tolerance changes. It was out of action for six or so months while it had repairs made (OEM piston, gaskets etc. installed). I just never thought to put the rego on hold. So it has barely been run in and has sat in storage for another six months.

So you reckon certifying will get more people interested in it?

Idd only buy one to road ride it or track race it. So for every motard track racer there would be 20 motard road riders. Idd say yes worth a lot more legal. Maybe an extra 1500+ on its sales worth.

Has it been more than 12 months since registration lapsed? If not, you can get it back on the road... rego would cost tho. After a year of no rego, then yes, you've let it lapse.
