Ordered the parts today, in stock in NZ, we'll see how I go putting it back together when they arrive

I think I'll be aiming for Amberley on Oct 16th for my next ride or Waipara a couple of weeks after that, I'll see what the surgeon says on the follow up

Both those rides are bloody good fun, so do both if it fits in your racing calendar.
Excellent being able to get the parts so easy and in stock.

Done Amberley before if it's the one just a km or two North of the township? Although a fair while back as I was on the Mighty IT200 and that's been in the shed now for longer than I care to think about

Yes good memory, that's the same one I would say. Plenty of places for the bike to stretch it's legs.
Waipara might be my favourite I think. It's got a bit of everything.

I nearly ran someone over at it, I was looking to get passed them and then they crashed right in front of me, stopped with the front tyre touching his neck

Haven't done Waipara but the other one we did up that way was the other side of Greta Valley on Davaar station

Thats always going to be a bit of a risk when they won't move over.
I've done some rides up that way, but don't recall that one.
If the weather really shits itself, I might borrow "Trials rider" pink skirt, although I feel it may be worn out already. And skip the Sunday ride

Well the RMZ bits turned up today and despite givng them a frame number and telling them the RMX I Have is different than what they have listed for NZ they mamnaged to get the wrong sidecover gasket

Also the new bolt won't wind in so there may be some thread damge from when it wound out, I've got a tap the right thread so I'll give that a try to clean it up

A mate has a TF 185, needed new accelerator cable, gave them all the details and they still got it wrong twice.
Good you have a tap. Hope you have the torque settings.
Anyway no hurry, you've got plenty of time on your side.

Just had a look on "my rides"and according to them it's still on. Maybe they haven't updated the site.

    Facebook Adventure Trailrides Events

The Peaks Trailride is now postponed to Sunday 14 August 2016 due adverse weather. Being a high country venue the weather is snowing and extremely cold. Couple of sunny days next week and the riding will be a lot more enjoyable when your hands are not freezing and you can see where youare going!

Very rarely ever use them, not even when I had the head and barrel off
