Hell yeah. Fitness..... A group of NZ Romaniac riders used to come up here for training before the event.

Erzberg is today (tonight), live stream on RedBull telly.

I took some pictures but none of them emphasis how sodding steep the banks were.

I spoke to Grenville. The MYRIDES guy is no longer doing it. People not paying for it etc. Grenville will be putting an events calender up on his ADVENTURE TRAIL RIDES FB page. We enjoyed the ride yesterday. Slippery in places! I tried the first enduro but lasted about 50 meters before I realized a man has to understand his own limitations...... Passed a guy cross rutted on some off camber track picking up a new KTM450SX[Not the ideal weapon!] who was too tired to even speak! He was in for a long afternoon!

One guy on a Fb page I belong to took 2 hr 30m for the first lap, some other people that I know that were parked next to you, on lap 2 we passed them at the first short slippery climb a few km in and then on lap 3 they'd only gotten as far as the next steep uphill climb, one of them had been waiting 45 minutes at the top for the other two

Now I consider myself a pretty average rider but I didn't think there was anything too difficult on the main loop, couple of the big climbs were a bit bumpy and one was quite slippery but slow and steady got me to the top easily enough each time, I think some of the time people get put off by arriving at a climb and there's a bunch of people sitting there or spread over the hill on the way up

We'd done 3 laps and were on the way home by 2pm and that was with a fair bit of pissing about

Yes I wondered about the people parked beside us. The back tyre on the Beta looked pretty worn. I agree, the hill climbs had a surprising amount of traction. I think having that fresh Bridgestone X20 on the back helped me. I think- July 9th -Harwarden forest is next. That was a fun ride last time.

Had the leftover steak (who knew there was such a thing) 15 min ago. But no beer on a school (holiday) night.

Been repeating the sections in my head before sleep. My timing could get some work.

Went out this morning as the Sunday ride is cancelled, it was wet and shit but still a good ride

Trail bike track closures this month 🚨
🏍️ Tracks between Weedons Ross Road and Miners Bank Road will be closed on weekdays only from Monday 10 July until approximately Friday 29 July. River engineers will be working in the area during this time.

📅These tracks will close on Monday mornings and reopen on Friday afternoons by 4pm. The tracks will be open during weekends.

✅ The tracks between Haul Road and Miners Bank Road will remain open. The area west of Weedons Ross Road will also remain open.

🛑 On *Sunday 9 July*, Weedons Forest will be closed all day for an event all day. The Trail Bike Hub and Weedons Berm (the area between the forest and the river) will both be closed all day. There will be no access into either Weedons Berm or West Melton Forest from Weedons Ross Road on Sunday 9 July.
