Hawarden forest trail ride was mint! Track was good-varied with some nice challenging sections. Did the first Enduro section twice. It was loads of fun. Did not do the second one-went and checked out the start and could hear multiple chainsaws hard at work in the forest so took that as a sign.....

Wasn't it just, riding with 4 others, one pulled the pin after the first lap because he wasn't feeling the love, two more after the second while me and Glen knocked out a third, really good mix of terrain, fast flowing forestry roads, more technical forestry, some riding round the side of hills over tree roots, slick greasy muddy uphill it was great

Lap 2 Mike was leading us and we were getting along at what I thought was a pretty good pace until two young guys caught up, passed us and fucked off into the distance at a pace that would have seen me headbutt a tree trying to keep up

The Peaks trail ride near Hawarden this Sunday. Wrist surgery means I wont be there but a great open ride with some challenging muddy climbs.

It's my least favourite of any of the rides and last time was the first time riding with Mike in years that he couldn't be arsed doing a second lap

Scargill would be my least liked. I have only done the Peaks once back on my KDX and it was not too challenging that day. I think it is the mud and steep climbs and descents that seem to make it interesting. Not really a 2 stroke course.

Well I've been out with surprise illness. Today marks one month in hospital 3 in icu 2 sparked out.
So reevaluation of riding pass if I can get proper walking again.

I'd like to do the chch Syd run which might clash and may be too close to finish Stinger.

When I'm proper fit I'd like to do a weekend or Sunday trail ride chch.

Have a think of early next year what is coming up.
Don't you look at my accountant.
He's the only one I've got.

Beta 300 here with your name on it, I can always ride the IT or RMX

Best thing would probably be the Waiau ride, two days on two different properties if you can get a day off either side but there's plenty of other good ones

    Hope your recovery goes well
