Wellington area riders: Paid photo shoot opportunity!

    Hi All
I received the below email this week to the Vic Club account.... Thought some of you may be interested?
(I'm out based on the 'must have no driving offenses")

    ""Job Details:

    Motorcycle photo shoot

We are looking for riders to be part of a photo shoot in late September/early October (weather permitting)
We will be photographing around locations in Wellington and possibly the Wairarapa
Each rider will be paid a talent fee of $500, and their petrol costs will be covered for the shoot
Anyone interested will need to be able to pass a background check (called an MOJ check). This means they can have no criminal convictions or driving offenses
Each rider will also need a current drivers license, and their bike will need a current WOF and be registered.

    Looking for:
6-7 riders to be a part of our motorbike shoot
Range of bike types and sizes; cruisers, dual purpose, sports etc
Range of gear, including high visibility but not essential,
Gear needs to be safety approved and of good standard
Helmets of light colour or with light graphics, full face helmets are essential.
Range of riders (i.e. some women), maybe a younger person

What I will need from people interested:
    Head & shoulder of rider
In full gear in front of bike (good profile of bike) with helmet on

The casting link below has an image upload area.

That should narrow things down a tad.

Hhmmmm that's really good money for a shoot like that if it fits your daily/weekly schedule. There's no shortage of models in this country and plenty of gigs pay less than that.
Hope he realises how much petrol these sportsbikes use lol
Checked out his web presence seems legit, be worth it if you have the time down that way.
I'd ask what the final image use is though, you wouldn't want to end up fronting one of ACC or LTSAs propaganda campaigns...

kinda depends on what they classify as driving offences, if its just instant fines then they really gonna narrow the field but if its court convictions for driving then that shouldn't narrow the search.

If they want pics then what do "driving offenses" have to do with a photo shoot?

The client will be a govt. department & will have put that clause in the contract. I missed out on a desk job years ago due to a careless use conviction, someone was obviously concerned I was going to crash a stapler or summat.

It's obviously for a safety campaign, can't have someone who speeds advertising staying under the speed limit.

Anyone have a turbo hayabusa they can lend to someone with a clean record? "Stay under the limit" (says the guy riding the rocket on wheels)

Is there any wiggle room on this? I can only tick one of those boxes.

So it's really just more PR bullshit cooked up by someone who doesn't ride, otherwise they wouldn't care about trivial matters like traffic convictions.

    I would be fucking carefull.

Police checks to be photographed riding your bike....................

Sounds like those fuckers at ACC/Moto-NZ are looking to produce some propoganda video again showing safe ACC approved bikers on their legal bikes in ATGATT out having legal fun......

Remember you wont have insurance if you are using your bike for paid employment.
