Book reviews: Mick Walker's racing bikes, motogpwerks

On top off collecting bikes ,I collect books and the up side it gets me away from my kids/wife a couple off hours a week on the shitter.
I perfer to read and gain knowledge off motorcycling than ride one off my bikes.

The lastest set I recieved were Mick Walkers collection off books on racing bikes production and factory....These books are great, the photos are intense with the knowledge installed in the book these will keep you occupied for hours .These books range from $27 to $41us + shipping from amazon
The german edition even has a 5-6 page spread on Kim Newcombe,in the top three motorcycle mechanics/engineers off all time in N.Z

These were the bible back in the 90's most 500/early motogp .There was always a tech somewhere that had a set off these floating around in the paddock. These are my 2nd set as the others look pretty tore up with the use they have had .Peter clifford put me on to these during the day.
Amazing books with information that will give you the starting knowledge to build something or repair it.They are costly i thing the last set cost me 240 us from U.K but they are the bible!

I was sent this by Alberto when i meet him last year at motogp, the book realy would bore the crap out off 99.9% off people. The book is a collection off University technical paers that he put together about Motogp engine design and the reason why so many config off engine design.
Great book if you have a PHD or you have time to study the contents and decide your own conclusion on some off the theory others have put forward.

    Superbike preparation,
Great book, very old school! If you need to make a hanger bracket for a brembo using a drill press and a band saw this is the book.No CNC's back then.
The author was Mr hendricks,he was a local racer and worked for Muzzy in the 80's as well as factory honda, the book shows Yoshimura explaining welding gsxr frames and making batery boxes or solid engine mounts and so on ......very hands on and great black/white photos ,this book is no longer around but you still can buy it used off amazon if your lucky.
Anatomy & develpment of the grand prix motorcycle
My friend got this for me as he designed the Carbon 500cc cagiva back then for John and Eddie (and hes in it) ,Great book on the birth off 500cc alot off it centred around Honda and the elf team with the progress on design and materials used during the Hay Day 1984-93.
Easy to read and the photos are all B/W.
Again not publish anymore so you will have to buy it used off amazon
