Here's mine; wasn't a LAMS bike when I bought it.

There are quite a few around, on the blue september ride I arrived at the same time as another CS which parked up next to me - that one had a full givi luggage and pannier set on it.

Moe: Well, I'm better than dirt. Well, most kinds of dirt. I mean not that fancy store bought dirt. That stuffs loaded with nutrients. I...I can't compete with that stuff.

cheers guys all (or mostly all) useful input

Height of the bike is a concern. I am a bit over 6'4" and not skinny. Motomart are my local BMW dealers and the service guy there said it was a lower bike than the other F650 models. On the ST I am just about right and I just sat on a '05 GS as well which was pretty good but I wouldnt want to be much more squeezed. Have tried or sat on quite a few bikes now and the dual purpose model def suits my size but being a scarver I guess they went down a different road with this model.

I guess you dont know until you try but this is in Jaffaland and I am all the way down in Wgtn probably not worth the trip to find out

thank you again, great source of info!

happy to help at 6 foot 4 you would be like a clown on a circus bike = not good
Also the rear shock is not adjustable not even spring preload and my 85kg is too much for it
they really went all out for low on the cs
sounds like GS with high dakar seat and bar risers and street tyres would be just right for you
