    Beautiful Spring Day

1st September, not a cloud in the sky here, so it's a choice of spraying, weeding, etc or hopping on the scooter and spending the day blasting around the Kawhia - Waitomo roads. A few little settlements on the coast out that way I want to pootle around and see.

    Hmm/! hard choice.

Same here... so choice is easy...

For you - spraying and weeding...
For me - two class sets of algebra tests to mark... the price to pay for playing yesterday

Whatever you do, enjoy the glorious day...

Thats right and I do have tomorrow off so the weeds can wait. Got the camera battery charging, will make a thermos of tea, couple of sandwiches and top up the spare petrol container.

Will post my ride up in the scooter section later.

Less than last year, sold the Bucket Racer, XR400 and the work hack R100 RT.
I'm testing out future old skool bikes.

The Doctor in Kawhia is a friend of ours, hope you didn't have to meet him.

Lovelly day here in tropical Queensland. Rode up the coast a way and finally found a cafe out near one of the beaches that I'd been told about. Had a woodfire pizza - pepperoni, capsicum, and tomatoes which were cut into quarters and put on the pizza - sat under a tree and had my Father's Day treat. Had a nice ride in the process, found a road with some corners in it too and am getting to know the ST1100 better . Am now comfortable to go around corners 30 km/hr faster than the signs - did a couple of corners marked 60 at 90 ad one a little bit quicker, on the way home though so I'd been through them the other way going out.

Spent the day riding some back roads around the Kawhia area. Had a brilliant time. I think I have stopped and taken more photos while riding the smaller bike than I ever did before.
