I came off my bike on Sunday. Was going pretty quick out of a corner and lost the rear end then the front went next thing I know I'm skidding along face down on the gravel. Bent rear break pedal couple small scrapes on r/h engine cover. Few we marks on tank and the grey cover by the tank done it's job taking the brunt of it. You can hardly notice any thing happened. Worst thing is I cracked the peak on my new helmet

Sounds like everything done its job. Your bikes ok to keep riding. And your head's ok thanks to your helmet. An off would normally cost more. Hope you weren't hurt.

I've dropped mine a few times but you can't really tell. The Yamaha bark busters are great a few scratches on them but its a heavy bike and no problems. I thought i would have bent the bar's but no i just pick it up and keep riding. They are built tough. Any way going on dusty butt, but taking the WR 450. XT not back together yet, got new gasket coming will deal to it when i get back

Yes heaps better. Lifts front wheel in first gear without using clutch. If i take out the DB killers it lifts the wheel in second just by winding the throttle. They come with 47 hp @ the crank. Mine has 47 hp on the wheel with a very flat torque curve. Very strong at low rev's. It just pulls hard

Finally found the time to put the tenere back together and it sounds sweet. Went for a good ride and got engine up to temp. A good listen and all is good. I am very pleased. A good cheap fix. Gasket cost $40 plus oil and antifreeze

Looks as if Yamaha might/may be up dateing the XT660 range...
XT700... they are finaly thinking of useing the 700 raptor
top end... woohoo a whole 27cc more... after all the raptor is
in fact only 686cc not 700.... surpose it will save having to bore
the case mouth 2mm to take the raptor top end....
    Pete

90% of all Harleys built are still on the road... The other 10% made it back home...
Ducati... Makeing riders into mechaincs since 1964...

Just back from the dealers. Saw the new MT07 with a 686cc parallel twin lams approved, unrestricted 70 plus hp. They said it's the new engine for the tenere, that's what they were told. Now make it a bit lighter please Yamaha
